ABOUT

I am a Turkish animator based in Bergen, Norway, specializing in stop-motion animation. I hold a BFA in Film/Animation/Video from RISD and an MA in Contemporary Art Practice from KMD.

I tell stories that the self and the collective weave together. Appearance, unspoken assumptions, or circulating narratives shape everyday politics, access, and belonging all the time. At their best, they create a cute community; at their worst, they become absurd jokes. I am curious about both and everything in between. 

I have a studio practice as an artist and professional experience in the independent animation industry. It’s not related, but I also worked as an animal caretaker in aquarium care. FISH IS LOVE.
